FAQ

I live near you. Can I come meet with you in person?

Yes. In fact, if you are close enough to meet me in person, I encourage you to do so. I work out of my home where I have a consultation room and working studio. Please contact me via telephone or email to schedule an appointment. If you are ordering online, I invite you to call me with any questions you may have.

Can I watch you make my bead?

No. That would create serious liability issues.  Should someone get burned or hurt in any way while in my working studio, I could be held liable and that is not a risk I am willing to take.

Can I pick more than one color?

Yes, the first color you choose will be the primary color for that bead.  You may choose another contrasting or complimentary color. Black with white is a very popular color combination. The result is frequently described as a “galaxy” or “the sky.”   Please remember to note your wishes in the comment section.  I shall contact you if I have any questions.

Can I call you if I have any questions or concerns?

Yes, please do. I am always happy to answer questions and help you decide on color choices, bead shapes, etc., if needed.

Do you work with anything other than cremation ash?

I have infused hair, fur, dried flowers, and even a feather into a glass bead. The end result is different because those materials have not been incinerated. However, those beads are equally lovely and meaningful.  When I encase those materials in clear glass, the results show as what I call “smudges” and/or bubbles that usually appear. Please contact me to discuss these options if they are of interest to you.

What happens to any unused portion of the cremains sent to you, and how will I know that you used the ashes I provided?

All remaining cremation ash is returned to you. I am very careful when handling cremains. My process involves transferring the cremains to a small bowl which sits on a larger plate, and I work within those confines.  I work on one order at a time, and when I’ve finished with an order I transfer all remaining cremains back to the container in which it was received. They are then returned to you with your order.

What is your turnaround time?

Once your order is placed and I receive your ashes, my average turnaround time is 7–10 days.
